Don’t you love the simplicity of summer? One of my favorite aspects of summer outfits is the ease of summer slide sandals. (If you wear winter boots for five months out of the year, like I do, you understand!) I’m always looking out for slides that have flat, wedge, or platform heels with cushioned soles. But many of the comfort sandals can look a bit frumpy.. So I’ve searched high and low for slide sandals that are fashion-forward and supportive. Here’s my try-on session for cute and comfortable slide sandals for women…
UGG Kari Slide Sandals For Women
UGG’S Kari slide sandals have classic criss-cross straps and low platform heels. These sandals have the Treadlite by UGG™ soles, which means they are lightweight, flexible, and cushioned. You can find the Kari slides in black, silver, and cognac. They look great with shorts, skirts, linen pants, or casual dresses. I felt like these ran a bit small so I sized up to a 7.5 (I’m usually a 7). Most reviews consider them true to size though so try them before you buy them.
Stuart Weitzman Joni Leather Slide Sandals
I already have the cutest dressy white sandals (The Perfect Summer Wedge Sandals) but I needed some casual ones for an upcoming trip. So I ordered these Stuart Weitzman Joni Leather sandals from Nordstrom Rack. I love that they have a contoured footbed, adjustable straps, and a cute buckle detail. If you’re not sure about an all-white sandal, these are also available in a pretty peach blush, gold, and all black. All of these options are marked down from their original price but the prices vary by color. I liked these a lot and am debating keeping them. I think they run slightly wide but you can tighten them.
Birkenstock Mayari Slide Sandals
Yes, Birkenstocks are still in style! These are the Mayari Slide Sandals which have thin, delicate straps but still offer some support. They are made with Birko-Flor® faux leather and are unisex (sizes range from 4-13.5). I bought these for my daughter who dances and is always looking for ways to soothe her sore feet. They’re comfortable, but I wanted to try some of the other brands before I bought any Birkenstocks.
Vionic Brandie Platform Slide Sandals
Vionic shoes have orthotic support so if you’re not used to them, they may take a little time to feel comfortable. I’ve been wearing their flip-flops for the past year, so I’m used to the contoured footbed. I ordered these Brandie Platform Slide Sandals with canvas straps. The straps are adjustable for a perfect fit (and to loosen when your feet swell in the heat. They have a sporty but chic style and come in 7 colors (at Nordstrom). The one drawback is that they are heavier than any other sandals I’ve tried lately and the footbed is quite firm.
Tory Burch Women’s Double T Sport Slide Sandals
If you’re looking for slide sandals that are a little more dressy, take a look at Tory Burch’s Women’s Double T Sport Slide Sandals which have a comfortable rubber sole. I haven’t tried on these slides, but they have excellent reviews. You’ll find these in Miele (cognac brown), Dulce De Leche (cream) and Black as well as gold at Nordstrom. Bloomingdales carries this style in a Tory Red. Note that the soles of these sandals are quite flat, so if you prefer a contoured footbed, try the Miller Cloud Sandals.
