These 2023 Fashionipa favorites are things that I’ve bought or received over the past couple of years. They’re the fashion, beauty, and home items that I’ve used repeatedly. If you’re looking for a gift for her (or need ideas for your own list) take a look…
1. Athleta Excursion Crossbody Waistbag
While the Lululemon belt bag is a favorite for many, I wanted something a little bigger, more versatile, and to be honest, less popular!
I use this Athleta Waist Bag for trips, hikes, and watching our kids’ sports events. I prefer it to the rectangular belt bags because it can also be worn as a crossbody. The curved shape hugs your hip.
2. Coaster Luxe Recover Sweatshirt
My sweatshirt is another Athleta favorite. I wore my black one so often, that I bought it in red this year.
It’s a TENCEL™ Lyocell/Polyester/Lycra blend top that is softer than soft! You can machine wash it but keep in mind that they recommend hanging it to dry.
I love that it has a longer CYA back so that when I gain a few pounds over the holidays, no one will notice!
In case you’re wondering about my tights, they’re also from Athleta. They have a warm fleece interior and zippered pockets.
3. Allbirds Tree Runners
After my feet widened (thanks to middle age), I needed to replace my Allbirds Tree Runners from three years ago. So I bought them in black, one size up.
These are my favorite sneakers for my morning drive to school (they’re easy to pull on) and for travel (they’re lightweight).
They currently come in 19 colors on their website and limited colors at Nordstrom. You can read all of the details in the post that I’ve linked at the end, but the highlights are that they’re machine-washable and extremely comfortable.
4. Cariuma Sneakers
My other favorite fashion sneakers are my white leather Cariuma Salvas. My daughter has this leopard one on her wishlist, but I kinda want it too! We also like the Vallely and the OCA Low canvas shoes.
And if you go to the site, and are a little hesitant because of the skateboarding references, don’t
5. Monica Vinader Jewelry Box (And Jewelry)
Since I was already a customer and fan of Monica Vinader, I joined their affiliate program last year. They sent me this Extra Large Leather Jewelry Box which would be a lovely luxury gift. Add a monogram (up to 5 characters) for free!
You can also choose from the small Leather Jewelry Box, Large Jewelry Box, Leather Oval Jewelry Box, and Mini Oval Jewelry Box.
If you’re reading this in November 2023, Monica Vinader has daily flash sales where you can find jewelry for up to 50% off. Shop here!
P.S. I do receive jewelry as gifts from the brand from time to time, but I have also bought many pieces at the same prices that you would get.
6. Cozy Earth Pajamas
I know that Cozy Earth Pajamas are already on Oprah’s Favorites list, but if you need more convincing, I think they’re worth the price.
I have the shorts set, but now that it’s cold outside, I’m adding the long-sleeved knit pajamas to my holiday wishlist. If you’re looking for a robe, try this one.
I also own the Soma’s Notch Collar Pajama Top and Pants and Nordstrom’s Moonlit Eco Knit Pajamas but neither are as soft as the Cozy Earth ones.
7. Mansur Gavriel M Frame Leather Crossbody
So I hesitated to put this handbag on my list, as it is currently more expensive than my usual recommendations. But this was on sale when I bought it, so I’m including it in my 2023 Fashionipa Favorites.
And it’s simply gorgeous. It’s Mansur Gavriel’s M Frame Leather Handbag. Mine is the Mini. They currently have a much larger Shoulder Bag and a Metallic Baguette Bag.
I use it on special occasions and events to keep it looking new!
8. Apple AirPods Pro
My lovely mother-in-law often gives me a generous check for Christmas, and earlier this year I decided to finally buy some AirPods Pros. Why did I wait so long? They make chores less boring and they cancel out puppy-whining. Those reasons alone make them worth their weight in gold!
9. Sigma Beauty Makeup Brushes
I’ve had this makeup brush set for almost two years now, and they have held up so well! (Yes, I do wash them weekly if not more). I didn’t have a favorites list in 2022, so I’m adding them here! You’ll find them here, here, and here.
(At the time I’m writing, they are the cheapest on their website but I wanted to include a few options are prices will be changing during this holiday season.)
For travel, I bought this Essential Trio Set which you’ll find at Target, Anthropologie, and Nordstrom. This set comes in a pink container and would be cute as a stocking stuffer, teacher’s gift, or gift for a teen.
10. Lululemon Wanderlust Backpack
If you’re looking for a backpack for weekend trips, sightseeing, or daily use, take a look at Lululemon’s Wunderlust Backpack.
I bought it for our weekend trips to dance competitions and college visits, and it came in especially handy after we checked out of the hotel and I needed to carry my iPad and other valuables with me.
It’s larger than the average backpack, but the straps on the front can be tightened so that it doesn’t look huge when it’s not full.
11. Yeti Drinkware
I know that Stanley is having a movement, but we love our Yeti travel mugs and cooler. Every day, I use two Yeti 30oz Rambler Tumblers (one for water, the other for a magnesium supplement), a Rambler Lowball for my morning coffee, and a 20oz Rambler for herbal tea. I’m not kidding. Every day.
Our sons have the 36oz Rambler Bottles and my husband has the Wine Tumblers.
Most of these go in our dishwasher, and those that do, come out unscathed.
The coolers are expensive (we won ours at a fundraiser) but they’re so durable. We’ve found ice in ours several days after our son’s graduation party! If you’re shopping for a camping enthusiast, the Yeti Tundra Coolers are bear-safe.
You’ll probably find cheaper versions of these 2023 Fashionipa Favorites at big box stores or on Amazon. But I’ve found that the quality of these particular items has made them worth the price.
Let me know in the comments below if you have any of my 2023 Fashionipa Favorites. And let me know what’s on your list!
