25 Holiday Gift Ideas For Him

25 Holiday Gift Ideas For Him

Every year, around this time, I look at the piles of presents I’ve hidden away to see if they look roughly even. My daughter’s pile is usually substantial – she’s easy to shop for. My husband’s and sons’ piles are predictably smaller – they’re minimalists who throw me into a gift-searching panic! In case you’re in the same boat, I figured I’d share my brainstorming session with you. Here are 21 gift ideas for him…

Gift Ideas For Him: Home & Entertainment

1.Gift Basket Or Box

When you can’t think of one fabulous gift, consider putting some smaller things in a basket or box. Pick a theme like his favorite color, a hobby, or an aspect of his personality (i.e. sense of humor).

For men who don’t seem to want anything, try a food basket: favorites from his childhood, food from a country he’d like to visit, or gourmet treats he wouldn’t buy for himself.

2.Solo Stove

Does he like to spend time outside no matter how cold it is? I’ve read excellent reviews about the Solo Stove Bonfire Firepit, a portable firepit for the backyard. There’s even a tabletop version for s’mores.

3.Speakers

If he loves music and movies, he might like a Sonos One Speaker or a Bose Soundflex Portable Speaker to take on the road. Both brands are high quality and highly rated.

4.Goofy Bathroom Gifts

Looking for something silly? We gave this Toilet Golf set to my husband’s cousin for a laugh. Our boys have gotten some laughs over goofy toilet paper. Or how about this silly towel? Yes, I know guys of all ages who enjoy bathroom humor.

5.Books

When I buy books for gifts, I always buy them from a local store so that I can include a gift receipt. I also try to buy new releases (that he is not likely to have) and hardcovers (that he might not buy for himself).

6.Brain Teasers And Puzzles

Our holiday gifts always include crossword puzzle books, desktop sudoku, and other games. I’m thinking about this silly puzzle for my hobby farmer husband.

Gift Ideas For Him: Cooking And Eating

7.Grill Pan

When it’s too cold to grill outside, he might like a Cast Iron Grill Pan for his steaks and salmon.

8.Air Fryer

Does he love fried food? The Instant Vortex Air Fryer will give him the taste of fried food without the calories.

9.Meal Subscription

No time or energy to cook? Give him a gift card or a subscription to a meal delivery service.

10.Food Tasting Sets

For the foodie in your life (or someone who doesn’t want “stuff”) how about a food or drink basket? You can make your own, or have Gourmet Gift Baskets create one. Take a look at the Holiday Meat And Cheese Tower, International Brews crate, and the Veuve Champagne And Cheese gift.

Is he gluten-free? They have a Gluten Free Gift Basket too!

11.Whiskey Escape Room

If he’s over 21, buy him his favorite bottle of whiskey but make him work to get it from this Unlock The Whiskey Escape Room.

Gift Ideas For Him: Exercise

12.Headlamp

Winter days are short here, so our guys all have headlamps to run, ski, or hike in the dark. You can also buy a beanie with a built-in light. These are available in over twenty colors on Amazon, and are very affordable!

13.Kettlebells and Weights

A few years ago, we turned a part of our basement into a gym and it has been an excellent resource for us, especially our teen boys. If you’re looking for affordable exercise-related gifts how about this Kettlebell Set or these Adjustable Weights?

14.Pickleball Paddle

Has he joined the pickleball obsession yet? How about a Pickleball Paddle to get him started?

15.Massager

And to soothe the aches and pains from his workout, how about a massager? We have an older version of this Mebak that everyone in the family has used at one time or another.

Gift Ideas For Him: Clothing and Accessories

16.Cold Weather Accessories

Did you know that you can buy cold-weather accessories with battery-operated heating? I had no idea until a friend mentioned a heated vest that she bought to survive our long, cold winters. It turns out, Dick’s Sporting Goods has gloves and socks (and other clothing). Not sure of his size? Then you might want to just get a rechargeable hand warmer.

Not quite that cold in his state? You’ll find utility, wool, and deerskin gloves at L.L.Bean.

17.Slippers

Who doesn’t need some fresh new cozy slippers for the winter?! UGG Men’s Fluff It Slippers or UGG Men’s Scuff Slippers are two cozy options.

If he tends to wear his slippers for quick trips to the mailbox, he might like these ThermoBall Traction Mule Booties.

18.Hoodies, Jackets, and Shirts

Patagonia is one of our go-to brands for the guys in our family. They have high-quality clothing that’s made to last (so he won’t have to go shopping again for a long time!) Take a look at the Uprisal Hoodie, the Better Sweater and Daily Graphic Long Sleeved Shirt.

Holiday Gift Ideas For Teens And Young Adults

19.Wallet

Both of our teens recently “graduated” from keeping their cards and cash in their phone cases to needing real wallets. I’m looking at the Stafford Men’s RFID Blocking Leather Wallet which is compact but has plenty of pockets to stay organized.

20.Car Care

If he’s driving he may need this Armor All Gift Set and some Air Fresheners. If he lives somewhere cold, you might want to add an Extendable Brush And Scraper.

21.Multitool or Toolbox

For your college kid or your DIY teen, a multitool is a fun small gift. If they need an entire toolbox, this Cartman 39 Piece Tool Set is highly rated.

22.Socks

Our teens always seem to need more socks. Some of our favorite brands are Darn Tough for warm socks and Belega for running socks. But if you’re looking for something fun, try these Burger Cabin Socks or these Money Socks!

23.Shoes

For reasons I just can’t imagine, our teens don’t like shoe shopping! If your teens are the same way, take a look at these Suede Boots or these canvas sneakers.

24.Yeti Drinkware

I didn’t understand why Yeti drinkware was so expensive until we received some as gifts. They’re incredibly durable and are excellent at maintaining the temperature of your beverage. Our teens have water bottles. They like that they never crack or dent. I like that they can go in the dishwasher. (We also have the Rambler mug, wine tumblers, and stackable cup).

25.Gift Cards

When in doubt, there’s the always-appreciated gift card. We usually buy Amazon and PlayStation gift cards, but consider his favorite restaurants, coffee shops, clothing stores, and hobby shops too.

I hope these gave you some ideas for gifts for the guys in your life. Let me know which of these, you’re buying!
