Whether it’s warm and sunny, or still a bit chilly, you’ll want a floral print blouse this spring. Why? It’s a versatile piece that can elevate any basic outfit. It’s an easy way to refresh your usual jeans outfit or add a pop of color to a neutral one. Here are some floral print blouse styles that are trending for spring and how to wear them…

My Spring Floral Print Blouse

If you haven’t shopped at & Other Stories, it’s an affordable, fashion-forward brand. I’m a fan because & Other Stories tends to have nice quality fabric made from natural fibers (cotton, silk, linen, etc.)

My blouse is a soft lightweight cotton/ and silk blend, so I can layer it under a jacket now, or wear it on its own in the warmer months.

It’s loose, with romantic, balloon-sleeved sleeves and just the right length to tuck in or leave untucked (i.e. versatile!)

I also love that the print has a little black and white in it. That makes it easy to pair with black wool pants early in spring or white shorts closer to the summer.

You’ll find this Printed Silk Blend Blouse In Black Floral at & Other Stories and also at Nordstrom. (This Printed Silk Blend Blouse is the same style, in a beautiful yellow floral print).

Prefer a bolder, brighter print? You might like the Oversized Voluminous Sleeve Blouse

Something more romantic? Try this Relaxed Frill Detail Blouse.

I also really like this Festival Pink Button Front Popover from J.Crew. Ever since Pantone announced that its 2023 Color of the Year was Viva Magenta shades of dark pink have been popping up everywhere.

With Trousers And Flats

Trousers (or tailored pants) have been trending this year whether for work or for going out. Silhouettes range from slim straight-leg styles to bootcut and flared styles to wide-leg styles. Pleated pants have made a comeback (though if you have a belly like I do, you may want to stay with flat front options).

I’m wearing Banana Republic’s Lido Straight Italian Wool Pant in size 4 Short (I’m just under 5’4″). My shoes are my Natalie flats (#gifted) from Sarah Flint. I wear these all the time with pants, jeans, dresses, and skirts.

If you use my code SARAHFLINT-BANIPA you’ll receive $50 off your first pair of Sarah Flint shoes. Disclosure: I am currently a member of Sarah Flint’s Curator’s Club which means that I have a partnership with the company.

If you live somewhere warm you may prefer these Wide-Leg Linen-Cotton Pants with slide sandals.

With Denim And Sandals

Prefer a casual look? Pair your floral print blouse with jeans.

Like pants, denim trends are steering away from skinny silhouettes towards wide-leg, bootcut, flared, and loose styles. Tuck in your blouse, and add a belt so that you have a defined waist between your voluminous blouse and relaxed pants.

One of my favorite jean styles is the Kelsey by Kut From The Kloth. I have it in 3 different washes/lengths and I always get compliments when I wear them. I’d wear these simple Ankle Strap Sandals with my jeans outfit to keep the focus on my spring floral printed blouse.

Looking for something different? Denim maxi skirts and knee-length skirts are also trending. Wear your denim skirt and floral print blouse with some comfortable block heels, wedge sandals, or slides.

Mine is an old knee-length skirt, and I’m wearing them with some UGG slides I bought last year.

With Shorts And Lace Up Sandals

On warmer days, pair your floral blouse with some tailored shorts (pleat-front, leather, and Bermuda shorts are all trending) and lace-up sandals.

Try a tank top underneath an unbuttoned blouse for a cool and casual look.

If your shorts are fitted, leave your blouse untucked.
